The Mission Theatre

The building is a 200 year-old 'Grade 2 listed' structure originally built as a Catholic Chapel. In the nineteenth century it was a Protestant place of worship. During World War 2 it was used by Air Raid Wardens and others, and was then taken over by The People's Mission until 1998. In 2004 the City of Bath added to its already rich cultural heritage and after an extensive programme of renovations, the building now houses a vibrant and busy venue for all manner of events.

Bristol Old Vic

Bristol Old Vic is a theatre company founded in 1946 and based in a complex which includes the unique Theatre Royal, opened in 1766, the oldest theatre auditorium in the UK which many think the most beautiful. Working with and for Bristol they seek to create a programme which engages with and reflects the vitality of their developing City.

The Hippodrome

The Bristol Hippodrome opened its doors on the 16th December 1912 when the curtain rose for the first time on what was generally agreed to be Oswald Stoll’s most magnificent provincial theatre. Since the beginning of the century, and due to the fact that it has one of the largest theatre stages in Britain, The Bristol Hippodrome has established itself on the touring circuit for all major musical productions, thus becoming known as Bristol’s West End Theatre.

The Redgrave Theatre

Clifton College was one of the first schools in the country to have a purpose-built theatre on site. The Redgrave Theatre (named after Old Cliftonian Sir Michael Redgrave) seats 320 and hosts more than 40 productions a year. Arguably some of the best of Bristol's amateur and semi-professional theatre is staged here, and it is also home to the majority of performances for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
